Welcome Message:

                On Behalf of the tournament committee members we would like to welcome you to the 6th Annual Mid-Michigan High School Alumni Tournament.

                Our tournament will offer the participants an opportunity to remember the glory days past as high school hockey athletes and spectators. Whether ou are here to play, watch, or to support our event we thank you for your attendance this year. Proceeds from your donations this year go to the Food Bank of Eastern Michigan and the Local Youth Hockey Associations in the Flint and Lapeer Area.

                Please find time to spend before, during and after many games here at Polar Palace Ice Complex by stopping by in for a meal and/or drinks at Louie’s Bar and Grill located adjacent building.

                We would like to especially thank you sponsors and hope that you find and opportunity to frequent their business as well.

                Should there be any questions, comments, or a need for other information regading the tournament feel free to ask any of the committee members and we will be happy to assist you.

Eligibility Requirements are as follows:

You must have graduated from the school you plan to represent.
You must have played a minimum of (1) full season of Varsity Hockey for the school you plan to play with in this tournament (hence, Alumni Tournament).
You must have graduated from High School no later than summer 2015.  Any players Graduating in the Class of 2016 or after will not be allowed. Absolutely no current high school students can play.
30+ Division, a player is eligible if that player turns (30) during the 2016 calendar year.

Our Facility:

The Polar Palace Arena Complex is a state of the art ice skating center that is home to the Lapeer County Hockey Association, Lapeer Skating Club, Adult Leagues, several High School teams and a youth skating program starting at 4 yrs. to adult.  We pride ourselves in having a clean and safe environment that is fueled by our excellent staff and the many fine amenities we have to offer.

We house two NHL sized rinks, 8 large locker rooms with showers, a separate girls locker room and referee dressing room both with showers, heated bleacher areas with seating for over 1,000 spectators and a lobby viewing area.

Our concession stand offers many choices of food and drink.  We also have a fully stocked Pro Shop with skate sharpening available.

After an exciting hockey game or some family fun at one of our public skates, visit Louie’s Sports Tavern, which is accessible through the lobby area.
